The Wolf family has been making mattresses in America's heartland for over 137 years and five generations. The super sleep was designed and built by the founder's Great Grandson. This mattress contains Wolf's premium cotton blend made using 100-percent American grown cotton. Using cotton instead of foam helps the mattress to breath, and in turn helps to regulate body temperature during the night. Natural un-bleached cotton is a material containing no dyes. Also the Premium American Steel coil is constructed using tempered steel construction. Inner quilting the cotton before attaching it to the spring unit ensures durability and continued support. The mattress is rolled in plastic and boxed for protection during shipment; the small size of the package is also helpful when moving it into your home by making tight spaces easy to navigate. I was surprised by the fairly durable cover and sturdy inner springs, which don't sag (I can't tell where the slats on the bed are; the springs support my 150 lbs quite well) and am overall quite pleased -- I don't think I'll be buying another mattress to replace this one.That said, I can feel the springs when lying on the bare mattress. It absolutely needs some kind of padding to be really comfy. I have a thin down mattress cover which takes the edge off this, and sleep with down pillows under major pressure points, and it's great. TLDR; Great no-frills option for a young person on a budget. If you're buying this mattress, plan on supplementary padding. You get a pretty good value for what you pay for, and it also comes delivered in a neat little roll that's easy to carry up the stairs. Middle-aged folks with money and... The mattress came when expected in excellent packaging. Unfortunately the mattress had an obnoxious odor to it (chemical odor?). I had to place the mattress outside on our covered deck for 3 days to get the odor out of it. I would not recommend it unless you are willing to do the same. After unrolling it expanded a little bit after a day or two. It had a weird smell to it but I laid down some dryer sheets before putting the sheets on. It didn't expand as much as I wanted. The coil poke out quite a bit but this may be worse because I don't have a box spring or frame, just the mattress on the floor. For the price I guess I didn't expect much more. |
